Introduction
Do you like owning how a business runs, from purchasing and suppliers to the numbers behind every decision? In this role you work directly with company leadership, shape how operations, procurement and analytics run, and see your improvements put into practice quickly.
Our client, an established company in the healthcare sector, is hiring a Business Operations and Strategy Manager to join its team on-site in Mississauga.
Why You’ll Want This Role
- Direct access to leadership and real influence on how the business grows.

- A broad role that combines operations, procurement, bids and analytics.
- A business that is investing in modern systems and new products.
- Regular weekday hours, health benefits and paid vacation.
What You’ll Do
You will be the go-to person for day-to-day operations and the improvements that make them better. You will use data and systems to spot what is slowing the business down, build the case for change and lead it through. You will also take the lead on competitive bids and proposals and give the sales team the market data they need to win.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, including purchasing, supplier coordination, order processing, inventory, logistics, invoicing and customer service.
- Use the company’s ERP system to track transactions, troubleshoot issues and keep a clear view of performance.
- Manage supplier relationships, including pricing updates and shipping and import documentation.
- Identify bottlenecks, run cost-benefit analyses and build practical business cases for improvement.
- Lead the rollout of approved changes to systems, workflows and procedures.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals for public and private sector customers.
- Provide sales reporting and market analytics to support the sales team.
- Research markets, competitors and suppliers to support growth and new product decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects with internal teams and external partners.
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in business operations, procurement, supply chain, project management or a comparable cross-functional role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance or a related field.
- A track record of improving processes, managing projects or solving operational problems on your own.
- Hands-on experience with an ERP or business management system and strong Microsoft 365 skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills, written and verbal.
- A self-starter who takes ownership and works well without close supervision.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Assets:
- Professional French, spoken and written, to prepare bids and proposals in French.
- Experience with public sector procurement or requests for proposals.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Odoo, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
- A background in healthcare, medical equipment or wholesale distribution.
Benefits
- Base salary of $80K-$85K per year.
- Health benefits after a 3-month probation period.
- Paid vacation.
- Regular weekday hours, generally 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility.
