Bilingual HR Administrator (English/French)

Our client is seeking a Bilingual HR Administrator (English/French) to join their team in Burlington, Ontario. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for an HR professional who is eager to learn, take on meaningful responsibility, and develop broad experience supporting employees across Canada.
You will work closely with an experienced HR leader and gain practical exposure to recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, benefits, HRIS processes, employee support, reporting, and compliance.
Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 annually
Location: Burlington, Ontario
Work Arrangement: Primarily on-site

What You’ll Do
This is an excellent opportunity to become a well-rounded HR professional. Rather than focusing on just one area of HR, you will support a variety of day-to-day people operations while developing your knowledge and capabilities.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS information.

Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, retirement programs, and general HR matters.

Support recruitment activities, including reviewing applications, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting with pre-employment processes.

Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including employment documentation and employee communications.

Prepare offer letters, employment letters, verification documents, and other HR correspondence.

Support payroll administration by communicating relevant employee changes and assisting with routine payroll inquiries.

Assist with benefits, retirement savings, wellness programs, and leave administration.

Maintain information within third-party benefits systems and internal HR platforms.

Support HR projects related to performance management, employee engagement, inclusion initiatives, and other people programs.

Assist with HR reporting and workforce metrics.

Maintain internal HR resources and documentation.

Support employees in both English and French.

Stay informed about relevant employment legislation and evolving HR practices.
Qualifications

Fluency in English and French, with the ability to communicate professionally with employees in both languages.

Approximately 1 to 5 years of HR experience, with previous exposure to an HR department strongly preferred.

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Exposure to several areas of HR, such as administration, recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee support, or HRIS activities.

Comfortable working with HR technology and learning new systems.

Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and Word.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.

Organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Resourceful, adaptable, and comfortable asking questions.

Confident in your ability to learn and receptive to coaching and constructive feedback.

A collaborative, service-oriented approach when supporting employees and colleagues.
