Bilingual Licensed Insurance Advisor, French/English, RIBO Preferred
Introduction
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Licensed Insurance Advisor to join a growing personal insurance team supporting customers with their home and auto insurance needs.
This opportunity is particularly well suited to a RIBO-licensed insurance professional who is fully bilingual in French and English and wants to build a long-term career with a stable, established organization. An active RIBO licence is strongly preferred. Candidates holding an active OTL licence may also be considered.
The role offers the opportunity to work from home, develop your insurance expertise, and benefit from ongoing professional development and licensing support.
Compensation: $54,000 to $65,000 base salary, depending on experience, licensing, and position alignment, plus an annual performance bonus.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks.
Work arrangement: Remote within Canada, subject to performance expectations and operational requirements. Candidates located near an office may also have access to a hybrid arrangement.
What You’ll Do
You will be a trusted point of contact for customers seeking support with their personal insurance coverage. Working primarily with home and auto insurance, you will answer questions, service policies, assess risks, resolve concerns, and help customers understand their coverage options.
This is an opportunity to use your insurance licence and bilingual communication skills while continuing to expand your knowledge of personal lines insurance.
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and written inquiries in both French and English.
- Provide professional support relating to home and automobile insurance.
- Process policy changes accurately and efficiently.
- Apply applicable underwriting guidelines and binding requirements.
- Assess property and automobile risks.
- Respond to customer concerns and resolve product or service issues.
- Complete policy rewrites and remarketing activities when required.
- Maintain accurate and complete insurance transaction records.
- Communicate with insurance carriers and other internal or external partners as required.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to discuss additional insurance solutions.
- Maintain strong customer service, quality, compliance, and documentation standards.
- Work effectively within established service schedules, processes, and performance expectations.
Qualifications
- Active RIBO licence is strongly preferred and will receive priority consideration.
- An active OTL licence may also be considered.
- Candidates must already hold an applicable insurance licence at the time of application.
- Full professional fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, is required.
- Experience supporting personal lines insurance, particularly home and auto, is highly valued.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Professional and polished verbal and written communication.
- Ability to interpret and apply underwriting guidelines and insurance procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
- Ability to manage customer needs while meeting insurance compliance requirements.
- Dependable, accountable, customer-focused, and comfortable working within defined processes and performance standards.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer-sponsored work authorization.
