Job Title: Events and Marketing Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Events and Marketing Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, organizing events, webcasts, and online educational content that drives engagement, growth, and success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives and target audience needs. Experience in the Senior Living industry is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Execution (Live Events) – 30%
- Develop event agendas and source speakers.
- Source and book venues for all events, considering industry and distributor events.
- Organize all event logistics, including online registration, mobile event apps, promotional items, and presentation templates.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for event teams if necessary.
- Work directly with venues to manage logistics (food, AV, room set-up, etc.).
- Communicate event details to account managers and stakeholders.
- Manage event promotions and communication campaigns.
Event Planning & Execution (Webcasts) – 30%
- Develop webcast calendars and source speakers, including partner-type sessions.
- Organize all logistical requirements for webcasts, including ON24 registration and presentations.
- Coordinate recording for simu-live webcasts, including managing polling questions and video uploads.
- Act as the facilitator/host on webcast live dates.
- Publish webcast content on the portal and analyze engagement results.
Online Courses – 15%
- Assist the VP, Marketing & Program Development in managing the review and update schedule of all online courses, including portal updates.
Program Development and Marketing Campaigns – 15%
- Collaborate with the VP to identify opportunities for enhancements to the Education program.
- Lead marketing campaigns for core programs, including purchasing, dining, and theme days, ensuring effective messaging and design.
Field Support & Engagement – 5%
- Provide corporate support to Account and Sales Managers.
Measurement & Analysis – 10%
- Monitor event attendance and engagement, prepare reports, and recommend changes as needed.
- Apply insights from event management and virtual learning trends to improve the Education program.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A minimum of a two (2) year college diploma in marketing or communications. A Bachelor’s degree is an asset.
Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of marketing, communication, and event management experience, with a record of increasing responsibility.
- Experience with event management software (e.g., Cvent or similar), email marketing software (e.g., Mailchimp or similar), and ON24.
- Photography and video editing experience is an asset.
- Above-average proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience working effectively in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
