Part-Time Remote English to French Translator
We are seeking a skilled part-time translator to join our team on a remote basis. The ideal candidate will have expertise in translating English to French, with a focus on financial services or legal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate complex financial or legal documents from English to French
- Maintain accuracy and consistency in terminology and style
- Meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Collaborate with team members and clients as needed
- Stay updated on industry-specific terminology and best practices
Qualifications:
- Native or near-native fluency in French and English
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience translating financial or legal documents
- Excellent understanding of financial or legal terminology in both languages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficiency in translation software and tools
Requirements:
- Reliable internet connection and home office setup
- Availability to work 20-30 hours per week
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized translation association
- Experience in both financial services and legal translation
- Familiarity with CAT tools such as SDL Trados or MemoQ
