Bilingual Property Claims Specialist
Reports To: Insurance & Risk Management Manager
Summary:
The Bilingual Property Claims Specialist is responsible for supporting the organization’s insurance and risk management initiatives, focusing primarily on the administration and management of property claims.
Responsibilities:
Claims related duties

Monitor and process incident reports and claims within the internal claims system.

Manage property and liability claims from initiation to resolution.

Ensure all claims are documented appropriately, settled promptly, and closed efficiently.

Prepare release documents and coordinate settlements as needed.

Facilitate communication and document exchange among site operations, third-party administrators, insurers, and legal counsel.

Oversee subrogation and recovery efforts against third-party insurers.

Maintain ongoing communication with third-party claims administrators, insurers, vendors, and site teams to achieve optimal claim outcomes.

Collaborate with accounting to manage payments related to claims.

Analyze incident and claims data to identify trends and recommend risk control measures.

Prepare monthly loss reports for stakeholders.
Risk Management Support

Assist with insurance renewals by managing documentation and tracking processes.

Track, analyze, and review tenant insurance information.
-
Support operational teams in improving tenant insurance compliance across properties.

Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in property/casualty claims is preferred.

Completion or progress in insurance or risk management courses (such as CIP or CRM) is advantageous.

Comfortable reviewing insurance policies and contractual documents.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong teamwork skills, including working with remote colleagues.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English are required.
