Bilingual Payroll Specialist (English and French required)

What You’ll Do
You will play a key role in processing accurate payroll across multiple provinces and supporting HR functions that promote compliance, safety, and inclusivity. Your knowledge of Canadian payroll systems and employment legislation will help ensure a smooth experience for both employees and the organization.

Responsibilities
• Process timely and accurate payroll for employees across several provinces
• Administer statutory deductions, benefits, bonuses, and termination pay in compliance with legislation
• Prepare and reconcile ROEs, T4s, RL-1s, year-end reports, and remittances
• Provide internal support during audits and ensure audit readiness
• Advise on payroll policies and keep current with legislative updates
• Support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, records management, and benefits administration
• Contribute to compliance with employment and safety regulations across jurisdictions
• Assist in policy implementation, employee engagement, and organizational initiatives
• Coordinate workplace health and safety inspections, reporting, and committee liaison
• Translate HR and safety documentation as needed

Qualifications
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification
• Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Canadian payroll and HR support
• Bilingual in English and French, written and spoken
• Strong understanding of employment laws across Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, and BC
• Experience using Canadian payroll systems such as ADP or Ceridian
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms
• Organized, reliable, and capable of handling sensitive matters with discretion
