We seek a dedicated Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our client's growing team. As an HRBP, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing HR programs and processes to enhance employee performance, retention, and satisfaction across our client's various locations in Canada. You will collaborate closely with leadership to drive workforce planning strategies that align with our client's business objectives. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance on complex HR issues and work collaboratively across the HR function to deliver exceptional service to both management and employees.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic and tactical HR direction to support business objectives and effectively partner with employees and leadership across assigned business units.
- Consult with leadership on organizational assessment, succession planning, organizational structure, and workforce planning to strengthen organizational capability.
- Drive HR initiatives that increase productivity, competence, and effectiveness within assigned groups.
- Counsel employees and managers on employee relations issues, ensuring resolutions are in line with local culture and legal requirements.
- Foster employee engagement and satisfaction by promoting a positive company culture while balancing employee concerns with organizational goals.
- Manage talent acquisition, assessment, and development efforts to support organic growth and acquisitions.
- Collaborate with the recruitment team on staffing coordination and job requisition management.
- Stay informed on relevant Canadian and provincial employment laws and ensure HR compliance.
- Facilitate the performance management process for assigned business units.
- Participate in company-wide HR programs and initiatives, including salary reviews, workforce planning, onboarding, and diversity initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to improve internal processes and procedures.
- Administer employee benefits in Canada.
- Support HR Leader on large-scale HR initiatives, such as annual program rollouts and policy implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management and at least five years of relevant experience in HRBP or HR Generalist roles or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for handling sensitive and confidential situations.
- Experience in coaching, influencing, facilitation, and problem-solving.
- Ability to build strong collaborative relationships with leadership at various levels.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
- Experience with Workday is preferred.
Other Information:
- Travel requirement: 15-20% of the time (Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and US from time to time).
