Bilingual Human Resources Specialist

Job Description: The Human Resources Specialist will report to the HR Director based in the Toronto office. The role involves acting as a general business partner, providing expert guidance and support in HR management to both managers and employees. The position requires handling multiple deadlines and adapting to changing priorities in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide HR expertise and support to managers and employees across Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, and British Columbia.
- Advise on performance management processes, including reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
- Address employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversee the entire recruitment cycle, from job postings to onboarding, for positions in the assigned regions.
- Coordinate onboarding activities and conduct orientation for new hires.
- Maintain and update HR systems, including HRIS, Employee Portal, and employee records.
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, Pay Equity, AODA, and IRCC regulations.
- Participate in HR projects, including data analysis, compliance tracking, and organizational chart maintenance.
- Foster a positive, supportive, and client-focused team environment.
- Translate documents, announcements, job postings, and other correspondence as needed.
Position Requirements:
- A university degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, with a strong preference for experience in recruitment, onboarding/orientation, training, job evaluation, and employee relations.
- Fluent in English and French (both oral and written).
- Experience with pay equity processes and CNESST (Maintenance).
