Bilingual Compliance Officer (French required)
This is a hybrid role. Three days on site out of either Toronto or Montreal.

What You’ll Do
You will play a central role in ensuring regulatory compliance, improving internal processes, and supporting business development initiatives, especially in Quebec. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Canada and gain exposure to a wide array of compliance functions in both French and English.
Responsibilities

Review and approve new account openings and updates to Know Your Client (KYC) information

Supervise trading activities through the Latent Zero Sentinel system

Prepare compliance reports for funds and clients

Oversee policies and procedures related to securities regulation, AML, and FATCA/CRS

Monitor adherence to client investment policy statements and escalate any issues

Maintain and enhance automated compliance monitoring systems

Assist in regulatory filings and internal documentation

Draft written procedures and develop preventative controls

Support business development initiatives and collaborate on special projects
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or a related field

2 to 5 years of compliance experience in a portfolio management, investment, or securities setting

Strong understanding of Canadian securities regulations

Completed or in-progress certifications such as CSC or CPH; CFA enrollment is a plus

Hands-on experience with compliance systems, AML programs, and regulatory databases (e.g., NRD)

Bilingual fluency in French and English is essential

Strong communication, ethics, organization, and attention to detail

Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with Bloomberg, Advent, and Salesforce is preferred
