Bilingual Collections Representative (English required, French a strong asset)

What You’ll Do
You will proactively manage a portfolio of consumer accounts, using professionalism, empathy, and negotiation skills to resolve arrears and deficiencies. This role balances results-driven collections with a respectful, customer-centric approach, making it ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities

Proactively contact customers to resolve overdue balances and account deficiencies

Manage a portfolio of consumer accounts in the 30 to 90 plus day delinquency range

Complete approximately 40 to 60 outbound calls per day, with seasonal variation

Negotiate payment arrangements and work toward positive resolutions

Accurately document customer interactions and payment outcomes

Refer accounts for further action when required, following internal guidelines

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction
Qualifications

Strong English proficiency is required, French is a strong asset

One to two years of B2B or B2C collections experience, or comparable customer-facing financial experience

Comfort with high-volume outbound calling environments

Strong computer skills, including MS Office

Post-secondary education is an asset but not mandatory

Open to recent graduates with at least six months of corporate or professional experience

Experience in automotive, leasing, finance, or customer service environments is highly desirable
Benefits

Compensation range: $50,000 to $55,000 base salary plus non-guaranteed bonus potential

Hybrid work model, two days in office and three days from home

Standard business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
