The Bilingual Collections Officer serves as the primary contact for clients:
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Secure payments professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients to resolve disputes and negotiate favorable solutions.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion regarding all customer and vendor transactions.
- Manage customer files and make informed decisions regarding file acceleration, including repossession, write-offs, or legal actions.
Qualifications
- Fluency in both French and English.
- At least 2 years of experience in administration or client services within banking, financial services, credit, or collections.
- Proficiency in setting up and documenting payment arrangements accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
- Attention to detail with a proven track record of maintaining accurate documentation.
- Ability to uphold confidentiality and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office and a willingness to learn new applications.
- Familiarity with compliance laws related to collections is an asset.
