Accounts Payable Clerk (French/English preferred)

They are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bilingual Accounts Payable Clerk to join their finance team. Compensation Range: $40,000 to $50,000 annually, based on experience.
What You’ll Do
As part of a supportive accounting team, you will help ensure vendor invoices are processed accurately and payments are completed on time. Your work will support smooth financial operations and strong vendor relationships while maintaining organized and compliant financial records.
Responsibilities

Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness

Match invoices with purchase orders and goods received documentation

Code, batch, and enter invoices into the accounting system

Prepare and execute payments by cheque or electronic funds transfer

Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies

Process vendor credits including returns, promotional adjustments, and related claims

Maintain organized records and ensure documentation is properly filed

Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment questions

Support month end processes and maintain accurate accounts payable records
Qualifications

College diploma or certificate in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field

Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes

Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with accounting or ERP systems such as Business Central or similar platforms

Clear written and verbal communication skills

Ability to organize tasks and meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines

Professional approach to handling confidential financial information

Bilingual communication skills in English and French are considered an asset
