Bilingual Warehouse Team Lead
This position involves leading a small team of four warehouse employees at a satellite distribution center recently acquired by the employer. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping and receiving experience within a manufacturing environment, strong communication skills, and leadership potential or experience. The team primarily speaks French, so fluency in French is required. A personal vehicle is also necessary.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support a warehouse team to meet daily on-time delivery goals by ensuring all outbound shipments are processed within 24 hours according to shipping instructions.

Communicate promptly with customer service representatives and other departments regarding any shipment issues, delays, or backorders.

Assist internal and external customers with shipment tracking and tracing as needed.

Provide weekly reports on pending pickup orders to the customer service team.

Oversee loading and unloading of trucks with the help of the warehouse team and assist customers and drivers.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace following 5S workplace organization principles.

Ensure cycle counts are completed accurately and submitted to the purchasing department on time.

Train warehouse staff as directed by management.

Enforce company safety policies and monitor team compliance, reporting any violations to management.

Maintain high productivity and quality standards throughout warehouse operations.

Participate in required training and courses.

Organize and manage regular stock replenishment activities.

Handle all return goods authorizations (RGA) with a 24-hour turnaround.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Excellent attendance record.

Prior experience in shipping and receiving, preferably within manufacturing.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French

Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet applications, and warehouse management or ERP software.

Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and push/pull up to 35 pounds.

Willingness to work overtime and weekend shifts if necessary.

Forklift experience is an asset.

Bilingual in French is mandatory due to the language needs of the team.
