Are you a seasoned professional in the financial industry with a passion for sales and relationship building? We are seeking a dedicated Regional Consultant to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving sales results in the Quebec region. In this position, you will engage with Investment Advisors, fostering existing relationships and forging new connections, ultimately contributing to the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Responsibilities, Call Effectiveness & Activity:

  • Achieve annual sales targets by developing new advisor relationships and nurturing existing ones.
  • Conduct meaningful sales conversations with advisors, understanding their needs and matching them to our product offerings.
  • Maintain a high degree of phone activity through outbound calls and virtual meetings to ensure full client coverage.
  • Respond promptly to advisor needs to cultivate mutually beneficial client relationships.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the firms Investments' product offerings, business solutions, and value-added ideas.
  • Commit to personal development and continuously expand knowledge of the offerings.
  • Participate in team meetings and sales workshops to enhance sales skills and objection handling strategies.
  • Contribute to National Sales initiatives, contests, and campaigns to drive sales.

Sales Team Partnership & Regional Commitment:

  • Collaborate with Divisional Directors and Regional Directors to execute territory sales plans.
  • Work toward expanding sales penetration in the designated region, with a focus on developing new supporters and deepening relationships with existing clients.
  • Book meetings for Regional Directors as a result of successful sales calls.
  • Generate commitment from advisors to attend events and region-specific sales initiatives.
  • Execute various aspects of sales calls, including creating proposals, emails, and maintaining CRM data integrity.
  • Travel within the designated territory at least once per quarter to enhance selling skills and support regional initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Marketing, or related field required.
  • CSC (Canadian Securities Course) preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in the financial industry or related sales experience preferred.
  • Fluent in both English and French.
  • Experience working with investment advisors and a solid understanding of advisor and investor behaviors.
  • Previous experience in the mutual funds or asset management business is an asset.
  • Strong sales and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the investment management industry, mutual funds, sales strategies, and account relationship management.
  • Comfortable with client-facing roles and presentations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and make sound business decisions.
