Bilingual Group Benefits Documentation Specialist- Hybrid (LAVAL AREA)

Our client is a Canadian Insurance company specializing in providing group benefits, group retirement, wellness, and human resource solutions.
 

They are seeking a professional with Group Benefits administration experience. The Document Analyst is responsible for the creation and maintenance of standard and customized contract and/or booklet documents, ensuring their accuracy and legality, while meeting or exceeding departmental service and quality standards.
Reporting to the Director, Specialized Services, the documentation specialist will bring a results-driven outlook and highly developed document drafting skills to be successful in this support position which includes the investigation of complex issues and management of client escalations.

  • Create, customize and publish group benefits documents including insured and uninsured contract and/or booklet documents, ASO plan documents, and services agreements.
  • Examine and analyze source material such as master application, correspondence, existing documents, previous carrier documents.
  • Clarify information, resolve outstanding issues, involve other areas in the decision making process, such as underwriting, product development, client service, claims, marketing, legal, pricing, advisors, consultants and brokers, plan sponsors, carrier representatives and other third party administrators. This includes chairing meetings to develop, modify and approve contract wording.
  • Coordinate, review and incorporate relevant feedback. Obtain the required approvals and sign-offs.  Arrange for translation of documents.
  • Review product specifications to develop new contract wording or revise existing wording. Write contract wording to ensure consistency with other contracts and administrative processes.
  • Day-to-day management of client and advisor requests, and the ongoing general administration and maintenance of documentation activities.

 

Requirements

  • College or University Degree with three years of experience in the Group Benefits industry.
  • Advanced understanding of Group insurance benefits and provisions, and contract-related terminology.
  • Previous contract writing experience is a must. Project management skills would be an asset.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Word. Knowledge of Excel would be an asset.
  • Keen attention to details. Accuracy and quality control are extremely important.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with internal and external clients. French Bilingual would be an asset.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize and work to deadlines to meet client and internal needs.
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
