Job Title: Bilingual Collections Rep (Remote – Canada Wide)
Salary: $45-47K – Contract to Begin – 12 months – great chance to go perm!
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bilingual Collections Representative to join our client's team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to accurately handle customer service requests and inquiries, as well as proactively reach out to customers on a daily basis to discuss overdue accounts. This position is within a CALL CENTRE setting – but is a first party role with a strong and reputable firm.
Hours: Flexibility needed between 8am – 8pm Monday – Friday (rotated)
The company will offer a stipend to buy equipment and the opportunity to go permanent over time.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer service requests and inquiries in both French and English in a timely manner
- Reach out proactively to customers who's accounts are not in good standing
- Coordinate and negotiate payment terms as needed
- Apply payments to the internal customer accounts
- Provide support and assistance to customers on a daily basis through the call centre system (by both phone and email)
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve specific customer requirements/issues
- Handle some escalated calls and issues as they come up
- Assist customers with standard account-related requests, change of information or update and advise on current company standards and policies
Requirements:
- Fluency in French and English, with excellent communication skills in both languages
- 1-2 years + customer service experience OR collections experience is a must (call centre experience is a plus)
- Strong phone confidence and professionalism in all modes of communication
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Good typing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Post secondary education is highly preferred but not a must
